# NeedPorts Terms of Service

**Plain-English summary:** NeedPorts provides public endpoints and forwarded ports for services you control. Use it for legitimate remote access, hosting, dashboards, APIs, game servers, GPU workloads, and self-hosted services. Do not use it for spam, malware, attacks, credential theft, unauthorized access, unlawful activity, or activity that harms our infrastructure, providers, customers, or the public internet.


This summary is provided for convenience only. The full terms below control your use of NeedPorts.


## 1. Agreement


These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of NeedPorts, including the NeedPorts website, checkout, account and billing flows, public endpoint service, forwarded port service, tunnel client configuration, documentation, and related support (collectively, the “Service”). By purchasing, installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.


If you use the Service for an organization, company, project, customer, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and “you” includes that entity.


## 2. Service description


NeedPorts provides public endpoints and forwarded port ranges that can route inbound traffic to machines you control through an outbound tunnel client. The Service is intended for legitimate remote access and hosting use cases, including GPU workloads, inference endpoints, SSH, dashboards, APIs, game servers, Home Assistant, homelabs, and other self-hosted services.


NeedPorts is not a privacy VPN, anonymity service, spam delivery service, open proxy service, or tool for evading provider policies or applicable law.


## 3. Eligibility and account information


- You must provide accurate checkout, billing, and support information.
- You are responsible for keeping your account, email, credentials, install commands, tokens, and tunnel configuration secure.
- You are responsible for all activity using your subscription, assigned ports, endpoint, tunnel client, or credentials, whether or not the activity was authorized by you.
- You must promptly contact support if you believe your credentials, endpoint, or tunnel configuration have been compromised.


## 4. Your responsibilities


You are solely responsible for the services, applications, devices, workloads, and content you expose through NeedPorts. This includes securing your own SSH services, dashboards, APIs, databases, game servers, web apps, credentials, access controls, firewall rules, and host operating systems.


- You must comply with applicable laws, regulations, provider policies, hosting rules, network acceptable-use rules, and third-party terms.
- You must have the right to expose and operate each service you route through NeedPorts.
- You must not expose services in a way that creates unreasonable risk to NeedPorts, upstream providers, other customers, or the public internet.
- You are responsible for configuring your applications safely and for deciding whether the Service meets your security, compliance, performance, and availability needs.


## 5. Acceptable use


You agree not to use, attempt to use, or allow others to use NeedPorts for any harmful, abusive, unauthorized, or unlawful purpose. Prohibited activity includes, without limitation:


- spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or email abuse;
- malware, botnets, command-and-control infrastructure, phishing, credential theft, fraud, scams, or impersonation;
- unauthorized access, intrusion attempts, brute force attacks, credential stuffing, vulnerability exploitation, or bypassing access controls;
- denial-of-service activity, traffic floods, amplification attacks, or activity intended to disrupt networks or systems;
- abusive scanning, scraping, crawling, or automated activity that violates third-party rules or causes harm;
- copyright infringement or distribution of unlawful, harmful, or non-consensual content;
- operating an open relay, open proxy, public abuse platform, or resale service that is substantially similar to NeedPorts without written permission;
- attempting to evade provider restrictions, sanctions, export controls, law enforcement orders, or applicable law;
- interfering with, probing, reverse engineering, overloading, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to NeedPorts infrastructure; and
- any activity that, in our reasonable judgment, creates legal, operational, security, reputation, or provider risk for NeedPorts.


## 6. Abuse reports and enforcement


We may investigate abuse reports, automated signals, provider notices, legal complaints, security events, excessive error rates, unusual traffic, or activity that appears to violate these Terms. To protect the Service, customers, upstream providers, and the public internet, we may take action immediately, with or without prior notice.


Actions may include rate limiting, filtering, blocking specific ports or destinations, disabling a tunnel, suspending or terminating an account, preserving relevant account or operational records, or contacting you for remediation. We may also disclose information when required by law or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or service integrity.

## 7. Network limits, fair use, and port availability


Plan limits, port counts, bandwidth expectations, and pricing are shown on the website or at checkout. The Service is shared network infrastructure. You agree to use it reasonably and in a way that does not degrade reliability for other customers.


- Assigned ports, endpoint addresses, bandwidth, and plan features may change if needed for security, reliability, provider changes, abuse response, maintenance, or operational reasons.
- We may apply technical limits, traffic management, or filtering to protect reliability, comply with provider requirements, or reduce abuse.
- Some networks, countries, hosting providers, platforms, or clients may block or degrade access to particular endpoints or ports. NeedPorts does not guarantee reachability from every location, network, or provider.
- The Service depends on your local machine, tunnel client, internet connection, firewall, application configuration, and third-party networks. Problems in those areas are outside NeedPorts’ direct control.


## 8. Payments, subscriptions, renewals, and cancellation


Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe or another payment processor shown at checkout. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize recurring charges for the selected plan and billing interval until you cancel. Prices, included features, port counts, and billing intervals are shown at checkout and may change for future billing periods.


**Free Trials.** NeedPorts may offer a free trial for eligible plans. The trial length is shown on the website or at checkout. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid recurring subscription at the selected plan price.


**Cancellation.** You can cancel your subscription through the Stripe billing portal or by contacting support. If you cancel a subscription that has already been paid for, service generally remains available until the end of the current paid billing period or trial period, unless otherwise stated or required by law. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund charges already paid unless required by law or expressly approved by NeedPorts.


**Failed Payments.** If a renewal payment fails or a subscription becomes past due, unpaid, canceled, or otherwise invalid, NeedPorts may suspend or terminate access immediately until payment is resolved.


## 9. Refunds


If the Service does not work for your legitimate use case, contact support promptly so we can help troubleshoot or review the account. Refunds are handled case by case. We may decline refunds for accounts involving abuse, violation of these Terms, excessive usage, chargeback abuse, or failure to provide information needed for troubleshooting.


Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights that may apply under applicable law.


## 10. Installation, updates, and customer systems


You are responsible for installing, updating, maintaining, and securing the tunnel client and any systems connected to NeedPorts. We may provide installation commands, scripts, documentation, or support guidance, but you remain responsible for reviewing commands before running them and for maintaining backups, access, and security for your own systems.


## 11. Service changes, maintenance, and availability


NeedPorts aims to provide stable public reachability, but no network service can guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, discontinue, replace, or limit parts of the Service for maintenance, security, reliability, provider requirements, legal compliance, product changes, or abuse prevention.


The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that any particular endpoint, IP address, port, path, location, throughput, latency, or third-party reachability will remain available indefinitely.


## 12. Third-party services and provider rules


The Service may depend on third-party infrastructure, hosting providers, network operators, DNS providers, payment processors, and platforms such as GPU hosting marketplaces. Your use of those third-party services may be subject to separate terms and policies. NeedPorts is not responsible for third-party outages, restrictions, policy decisions, blocked traffic, account actions, or network changes.


## 13. Privacy and operational data


NeedPorts may process account, billing, support, and operational information needed to provide, secure, bill for, troubleshoot, and improve the Service. Operational information may include account identifiers, assigned endpoints and ports, tunnel status, timestamps, error logs, bandwidth or usage metrics, abuse signals, and support communications.


Do not route sensitive services through NeedPorts unless you have configured appropriate authentication, authorization, encryption, and access controls for your application. You are responsible for the data and content transmitted through your services.


## 14. Intellectual property and feedback


NeedPorts, the website, documentation, software, designs, names, logos, and related materials are owned by NeedPorts or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of NeedPorts intellectual property. If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant NeedPorts permission to use them without restriction or compensation.


## 15. Suspension and termination


You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if we believe you violated these Terms, created security or provider risk, failed to pay, generated abuse reports, or used the Service in a way that may harm NeedPorts, customers, providers, third parties, or the public internet.


After cancellation, suspension, or termination, your assigned endpoints, ports, configurations, and related resources may be disabled, reclaimed, or reassigned.


## 16. Disclaimers


To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeedPorts disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, security, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation. You are responsible for determining whether the Service is appropriate for your intended use.


## 17. Limitation of liability


To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeedPorts will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost revenue; loss of goodwill; loss of data; security incidents involving your systems; third-party claims; service interruptions; or inability to access your services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeedPorts’ total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to NeedPorts for the Service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.


## 18. Indemnification


You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NeedPorts from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your use of the Service, services or content you expose through NeedPorts, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your infringement or misuse of third-party rights.


## 19. Changes to these Terms


We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Changes apply when posted unless a later effective date is stated. If you continue using the Service after changes become effective, you accept the updated Terms.
